Hey folks! Happy Friday! We made it. A couple things on my mind... 1. Claude (Again): I said it last week and I'll say it again - if you aren't using Claude and its agentic workflows, you need to start. This week alone I: wrote a 60-page highly technical newsletter drip, made design tweaks on a website that just felt "off," and re-wrote a 7-part lead magnet sourced from Zoom calls, changing the writer and tone 3x for options. The sheer volume of work I can get through in a day right now is insane. If you haven't switched out of ChatGPT, do it - it's night and day. 2. Girls Rite of Passage: A couple months ago I asked if anyone knew of organizations that do mother:daughter rite of passage trips. Turns out there really aren't many. Tons exist for father:daughter and father:son, but it's pretty absent for mothers and daughters. That's crazy to me, because Chandler is far more qualified to guide Charleston (12) into womanhood than I am. So we made our own! Tomorrow, Chandler, her mother, and our 12-year-old are heading to visit Chandler's sister in Central America for a week. They'll mix normal life with visiting a school, visiting an orphanage, going to the beach, being good neighbors, and talking about womanhood. We're treating this as Charleston's entry into "apprenticeship" under Chandler - it comes with new freedoms (no bedtime, free access to food in our home) and new responsibilities (morning workouts with Chandler, meaningful household duties). I'll let you know how it goes! AMA 3. VidAngel: I actually learned about this from a reply to this newsletter. If you have kids and are sick of jumping for the remote because you forgot about "that one scene," I highly recommend VidAngel (no affiliate, just a fan). You set filters based on your preferences for language, violence, sexual content, etc., and it removes that content from shows on your streaming platforms - Amazon, Disney, Apple, HBO, etc... It's about $12/mo and 100% worth it. I can finally share my favorite movies and shows with my older kids without being on edge. That's it for this week! Have a great weekend and turn your phone off :) Best, Blake |

Hey folks! Happy Friday! A couple things on my mind... 1. Stag Hunt: I heard Naval talk about this idea somewhere, and I can't stop thinking about it. It's an idea in game theory where hunters are presented with a choice: hunt for hares on their own to feed themselves, or team up together and take down a stag that can feed the whole village. I'm noticing there are a TON of my network (myself included) doing fine hunting hares consulting / doing fractional work, but I can't shake the desire to...
Hey folks! I'm on day 6 of single dad of 5 kids, and we're making it! (specifically thanks to my parents' help) A couple things on my mind... 1. OpenClaw: I promise I think about stuff other than AI, but this one's too good. OpenClaw is a free AI agent that can actually DO STUFF on your computer and browser - API directly into your social media, email, you name it. My favorite use case: twice a day it scans my inbox, sorts everything into junk, FYI, and needs-a-response, I tell it what to do,...
Hey folks! Hope your week is going well! A couple things on my mind... 1. Claude Is Winning: About every other month or so I'll try out Gemini, Grok, and Claude to see if they can dethrone the primary use of ChatGPT. Just did it again this week and wow. Claude is winning - like no competition. Specifically the writing style emulation and deep analysis combination has got me over the edge to become my default for marketing work. Also, their new ad campaign is so good - latching onto one key...
