A couple things on my mind... (link in bio is dead, floor sitting, and nothing nights)

Hey folks!

Happy Friday! A couple things on my mind...

1. Link In Bio = Dead: I've been quietly shifting a lot of my social clients away from posting a link in their bio (nobody clicks it) toward automated DM's using ManyChat. Once they're in DM's you can share more relevant content, and then over time share lead magnets. So process looks like:
- They follow you
- You automatically DM them and ask them if they are following for x, y, or z.
- Then you send them relevant reel according to their response.
- On that reel, they can comment to get a free lead magnet in their DM's
- They enter their email to get the lead magnet

2. Work On the Floor: This week I watched this video that talked about how to get more mobility in your hips, knees, and ankles by sitting on the floor in different positions (cross-legged, zazen, right angle/pigeon, and squat). So I've been testing it out where the first hr of every work day I just work on the floor at a coffee table (like 10-15min per position.) It's incredible, I already feel more flexible, and its nice bc I'm distracted while I do it.

3. Nothing Night: I've written a bunch of times about having a weekly rest day as a family. But more recently I'm realizing our family needs to have a middle of the week "nothing night." We just have nothing planned and we just let the night happen. Honestly I wish I had like 6 "nothing nights", but darn those friends, families, and responsibilities... Chandler and I at teh beginning of the year put it on our goals though to schedule a night in where we have nothing planned, we watch no tv, don't lead a game night or devotional, we just let the night unfold. It's on the calendar (Wednesdays) and it's quickly becoming a highlight of my week. AMA.

That's it for this week!

Best,

Blake

P.S. We have a book coming out this fall and here is the cover design! If you know a podcast host, blogger, or author who'd be a good fit to help spread the word for this topic - we're beginning planning the promotional push - I'd love an intro!

Hey folks! Happy Friday! A couple things on my mind... 1) Secret Shopping: This is just a reminder to all of you marketers and founders, we need to regularly pretend that we're a customer and go through our entire sales and onboarding process (ideally incognito or ask a friend to do it.) I did this for a client last week and there is something weird that happens when you do this - you can talk about funnels until you're blue in the face, but when you say "I called in and didn't get a call...

Hey Folks, Happy Friday from Nashville! I’ve been speaking at the Integrated mastermind group all this week - absolutely amazing hearing from folks about entrepreneurship, family, faith, and how to live a life that combines and maximizes all three. Here are my main new ideas and takeaways I got from the week. Special Integrated edition, a couple of things on my mind… 1. Radically Accept Your Wife/Children: Unlike business, your family organization is one where you start with WHO, then figure...

Hey folks! Happy Friday! How's your bracket looking? Claude filled out mine and it's still kinda meh. A couple things on my mind... 1. Referrals 101: We're trying to generate more referrals for one of my CMO clients right now, so I have been revisiting the fundamentals of referrals. I think I read this in something from John Herman at some point, but here is the list of steps (in order): Track Referrals: If you don't know how many referrals or who's referring, you can't know if you're...
