A couple things on my mind...

Hey folks!

Hope your week is going well! A couple things on my mind...

1. Claude Is Winning: About every other month or so I'll try out Gemini, Grok, and Claude to see if they can dethrone the primary use of ChatGPT. Just did it again this week and wow. Claude is winning - like no competition. Specifically the writing style emulation and deep analysis combination has got me over the edge to become my default for marketing work. Also, their new ad campaign is so good - latching onto one key insight and throwing rocks. Chef's kiss.

2. Air Filter: I bought this little air purifier and it has a spot for diffuser oil (this is the one i like) for my office, and it is absolutely delightful. I really have noticed the difference in the freshness in the room (I have a fireplace in here) and people have commented how nice it smells. Cheap way to make a room way more pleasant.

3. How To Keep Your Kids In Bed: I had someone ask about how to make sure young kids stay in bed in the Family Team Accelerator this week, and I figured I'd share my answer from that:

My wife and i have 7 kiddos 14 to 1, so have spent about 12 years battling this haha. a couple notes:
1. Consequence right away is better than tomorrow consequence. It amps them up initially, but then they calm down when they realize you're serious.
2. Rewards in the morning for staying in bed all night (special breakfast, small toy, whatever ) is worth it - if you can get 5 days straight you'll beat the game.
3. Camping out right outside the door - camping out in the room is a trap (never do it), but right outside the door so you can catch them immediately does help.
4. Talking quietly in bed to each other as they go to sleep is actually really good for their relationship, they get consequences for getting out or being loud, not for quietly talking
5. Reading / looking at books in bed (only light from the hallway) is fine, they'll fall asleep fast.
6. You as the dad have to get super determined that this ends now, and they need to sense that you are a brick wall - literally NEVER cave and make it clear you NEVER will.
7. You're never "done" - you don't fix this problem. its more like gardening, you can thin out the weeds, but eventually you'll need to tend to it again.

That's it for this week! Hope you have a great one!

Best,

Blake

Hey folks! Happy Friday! A couple things on my mind... 1. Stag Hunt: I heard Naval talk about this idea somewhere, and I can't stop thinking about it. It's an idea in game theory where hunters are presented with a choice: hunt for hares on their own to feed themselves, or team up together and take down a stag that can feed the whole village. I'm noticing there are a TON of my network (myself included) doing fine hunting hares consulting / doing fractional work, but I can't shake the desire to...

Hey folks! I'm on day 6 of single dad of 5 kids, and we're making it! (specifically thanks to my parents' help) A couple things on my mind... 1. OpenClaw: I promise I think about stuff other than AI, but this one's too good. OpenClaw is a free AI agent that can actually DO STUFF on your computer and browser - API directly into your social media, email, you name it. My favorite use case: twice a day it scans my inbox, sorts everything into junk, FYI, and needs-a-response, I tell it what to do,...

Hey folks! Happy Friday! We made it. A couple things on my mind... 1. Claude (Again): I said it last week and I'll say it again - if you aren't using Claude and its agentic workflows, you need to start. This week alone I: wrote a 60-page highly technical newsletter drip, made design tweaks on a website that just felt "off," and re-wrote a 7-part lead magnet sourced from Zoom calls, changing the writer and tone 3x for options. The sheer volume of work I can get through in a day right now is...
